Dr. Elisse W. Barnes, JD, PhD, Your LinkedN Driving Instructor, is a LinkedIn trainer,
communications strategist, and workforce educator who teaches adults 50 and better to harness the power of LinkedIn for job searches, career transitions, nonprofit leadership, and encore entrepreneurship.
As the Owner, CEO, and Lead Trainer at Of A Certain Vintage Workforce Education, LLC, Dr. Barnes partners with public libraries; career, workforce, and development organizations; and universities throughout the United States to provide LinkedIn training to their patrons,
clients, students, and alumni.
Dr. Barnes also partners with the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington to provide LinkedIn training and facilitation for the Career Gateway program, a career development course for 50+ jobseekers, and with Nonprofit Westchester (NY) to teach nonprofit leaders to use LinkedIn for donor research and management, as well as board member recruitment and engagement.
Dr. Barnes is committed to helping individuals 50andbetter reset, reboot, and reinvent to
achieve their professional goals using LinkedIn and doing so in a manner that acknowledges their unique learning style and legitimate online security and privacy concerns surrounding the
use of social media.
Dr. Barnes is a graduate of Senior Leadership Montgomery, Yale College, Stanford Law School, and the Ohio State University, where she earned a doctorate in the history of U.S. foreign policy.
