Career Readiness Camp for Teens

Career Readiness Camp for Teens Description

This career readiness camp will provide students with an understanding of the resources available to them for career management, in addition to the preparation of their career documents. The career documents may be useful for college applications or for applying to internships and/or jobs.

Career Readiness Camp Goals and Objectives:

  • Self-Assessment – You must understand yourself, your talents, interests, and abilities.
  • Exploring Options – Get familiar with the resources that are available and what is needed to pursue jobs of interest to help guide your career decisions.
  • Goal Setting – Career choices are always subject to change, but you must start somewhere so there is a beginning.
  • Job Search Strategy – You must learn how to go about job searching in person and online and how current AI and other technology play a role with bots sometimes before humans.

This Career Readiness 101 course serves as a guide and roadmap to start you off on your journey, though you will need to engage in career management throughout your life until retirement.
