Have you ever experienced a voluntary or involuntary job transition or job loss? In this interactive program, you will hear about a model that can help you cope with the emotions surrounding a job transition. You will listen to practical solutions to help you move forward, gain confidence, and leave feeling hopeful.

SPEAKER BIO
Dr. Lisa Andrews, CCC, CMCS, is an award-winning career coach with over 25 years of experience in the higher education and nonprofit career development sectors. She has coached thousands of adolescents, college students, mid-career adults, veterans and their spouses, return-to-work moms, C-Suite individuals, retired individuals looking to re-career, and has volunteered her time coaching crime victims struggling to piece their lives back together, homeless persons, and those with mental health conditions. She currently serves as Director of Integrated Career Development for the School of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University, along with owning her own career coaching private practice, Look Forward Career Coaching.

COACHING APPROACH
Dr. Andrews utilizes a collaborative, positive, and forward thinking style. She guides the client in discovering their unique abilities, values, and passion for their lives. Her goal with each client is to assist them in making career choices informed by information, while taking into account the lifestyle the client wants to live. She focuses on the
total person, seeking to guide the client to a career that satisfies all areas of their life.

COACHING STYLE
Dr. Andrews’ expertise areas include self-exploration and discovery, resume and cover letter construction, job search strategies, interview preparation, salary negotiation, personal branding, social media presence, business dinner etiquette, and networking. Many of Dr. Andrews’ clients report that before meeting with her, they have
many fears and uncertainties with regard to their job search and career discovery process. After meeting with her, they feel much more confident in knowing who they are and where they want to go with their career journey.

EDUCATION
Dr. Andrews holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from Elizabethtown College, a M.S. in Counseling & Human Relations from Villanova University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. She is also a Certified Career Counselor and a Certified Master of Career Services through the National Association of Career Development.
