One-hour career education topic speaker from 8:55 AM to 10 AM followed by speaker Q&A and optional networking every Tuesday to 11 AM. Tuesday speaker meetings are free for members and $5 for non-members.

Feeling stressed out about your job search? It’s totally normal to feel overwhelmed when looking for a new job. Join this workshop to learn how to improve your resilience skills so you can stay positive and focused and feel less stressed during this challenging time.

The job search process can seem daunting, but you can do this! You’re not alone and help is at hand! The good news is that resilience is a trainable practice – the capacity to cope with whatever might knock you off your center. So how do you build resilience and bring balance to the stress?

There are many ways but some key practices are self-awareness (knowing our triggers and limits), self-care (nourishing ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually), positive reframing (seeing
challenges as opportunities for growth), and cultivating compassion (towards ourselves and others).

When you make resilience a priority in your life, you can not only weather the storms but also come out stronger on the other side. The workshop will cover topics such as identifying your resilience needs, developing a self-care plan, and managing stress during the job search process. By the end of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of how to manage stress.

The workshop has been designed specifically with job seekers in mind.

We’ll explore Gabby’s unique ‘Five Pillars of Resilience’ model and also learn some easy-to-follow self-care techniques that will help you succeed in your search for the perfect job. So whether you’re just starting your job hunt or feeling burned out, join us for this fun and informative workshop.


Gabby Prouse has spent many years supporting healthcare staff, helping them find practical solutions to their challenges. Gabby loves inspiring others to be their best. Specializing in resilience and conflict
resolution skills, she is an experienced trainer, facilitator, and manager and has worked in the UK Education and Health sectors for many years.

Gabby has seen first-hand how people can achieve great things when they set their minds to it. She is passionate about education and empowering others to take control of their own lives.

Gabby is a powerful communicator who inspires her audience to grow higher and challenges them to embrace their inner power. Her message is always positive, helpful, and empowering.
